Local Attractions
Bromsgrove itself has several local attractions including the Avoncroft Museum and the Tardebigge Canal Lock system.
The Avoncroft Museum is a collection of ancient buildings that were saved from destruction when the sites they were on were redeveloped. In particular, there is Guesten Hall which contains a fine medieval roof along with many other interesting buildings and memorabilia to see.
The Tardebigge Canal Lock system spans a long flight of locks – some 30 or so in all, raising the Worcester and Birmingham canal approximately 350 feet.
Why not stay in the Travel Lodge next door to us and visit Birmingham, Worcester and Cheltenham on the train. This makes a fine base for exploring the local area without needing to use a car.
